Wedding : East meets West – Jacques & Rie

I was asked by my friend, Adri Meyer, if i would help second shoot as Adri had just discovered that she was pregnant and was feeling very under the weather ….it was just a precaution because on the day, she did an excellent job and her coverage of this wedding can be seen here!  Thank you, Adri for asking me to help you with this one ….this one was a pure fairytale!  I have to confess, I am a true romantic at heart …and this wedding pulled at my heartstrings!  I came away feeling warm and fuzzy and believing in fairytales all over again.  Another thing I have to confess to …as a young girl, I used to read lots of Mills & Boons …and used to read about tall, handsome hero’s and beautiful heroine’s who were swept off their feet and carried off to far, distant lands!  Well  ….this wedding ticks all those boxes ….tall, handsome groom …beautiful bride from a far distant land …Japan to be precise ….Rie wore a stunning, most romantic wedding dress ….I swooned when I saw it!  Wedding Concepts were the wedding co-ordinators at this wedding and they did a stunning job ….it was tasteful and understated and yet magical …Grand Dedale Country House was the venue to this most  romanitc wedding!  Their friends and family flew in from all over the world to come and help them celebrate in the stunning backdrop of the Cape Winelands ….I dont think there are many more places more romantic than our backyard!!!!  Rie & the bridesmaids make-up was done by the very lovely, Candice Leigh
